WILLING TO RISK IT ALL?

UNYIELDER is a single-player boss rush roguelite FPS focused on intense one-on-one encounters, precision movement, and mastery-driven progression. Each run challenges you to adapt, learn enemy patterns, and refine your build as you push toward increasingly demanding bosses.

Combat in UNYIELDER is fast, deliberate, and skill-forward. Success depends on positioning, timing, and understanding each fight, not just raw firepower. Every attempt feeds back into your progression, unlocking new tools and options for future runs.

We love high-skill action games, and we love encounters that demand focus and execution. UNYIELDER is our attempt to build a boss-focused FPS where every fight matters.

Features

  • Face relentless boss encounters
Engage in a sequence of hand-crafted boss fights with evolving patterns and modifiers. Each run presents different challenges, encouraging adaptation and mastery.

  • Build your loadout mid-run
Collect weapons, perks, and upgrades during a run to shape your playstyle. No two builds are the same, and every choice affects how you approach the next fight.

  • Movement-driven FPS combat
Dash, grapple, counter, and reposition constantly. Combat is designed around mobility and reading enemy behavior rather than standing still and trading damage.

  • Progress through repetition
Failure is part of the loop. Each run unlocks new options, systems, and knowledge that prepare you for deeper progression and harder encounters.

  • Play at your own pace
UNYIELDER is designed for solo play, allowing you to learn, practice, and master its systems without external pressure.

While UNYIELDER continues to evolve through ongoing updates, player feedback plays a key role in shaping improvements to balance, clarity, and performance.

MESSAGE FROM THE DEVS!

Dear Pretenders!

UNYIELDER means a great deal to us.

This is our first game as a studio, and we won’t pretend the launch met every expectation, yours or ours. Some of you ran into issues. Some of you felt parts of the experience weren’t where they needed to be yet. That feedback is fair, and we’re listening.

What matters most to us now is what comes next.

UNYIELDER is not a finished conversation. It’s a game built on iteration, mastery, and refinement, and that applies to us as developers as much as it does to players. Since launch, we’ve been working through multiple rounds of updates, addressing performance, balance, clarity, and feel. We’re actively monitoring feedback across all channels and using it to guide what we improve next.

Many have said Early Access might have been the better path. Under different circumstances, we agree. But regardless of how we got here, our responsibility is the same: to keep improving the game until it becomes the experience we set out to make.

We are committed to that work.

If you’re willing to give UNYIELDER another look, or to share your experience with us, good or bad, we truly appreciate it. Your feedback is our north star, and it directly shapes where the game goes from here.

We’re still here.
And we’re not done.

Known issues & potential workarounds

We are aware of several issues affecting UNYIELDER and are actively investigating them. Fixes and improvements are being rolled out through ongoing updates. Where possible, the workarounds below may help in the meantime.

If you want to help us further, sharing system specs and detailed reports through our community channels is greatly appreciated.

I’m experiencing low or unstable framerate

Performance issues have been reported on a wide range of hardware configurations.

You can try the following:

  • Disable VSync in the in-game graphics settings.

  • Enable the in-game frame limiter and set it slightly below your monitor refresh rate.

  • Make sure VSync is not being forced on at the driver level (NVIDIA Control Panel / AMD Adrenalin).

  • Lower post-processing settings such as effects quality and shadows.

  • Ensure motion blur and anti-aliasing are disabled if available.

If you are running the game in DirectX 12 mode and experiencing stutters, forcing DirectX 11 may help:

  • Right click UNYIELDER in your Steam Library

  • Select “Properties…”

  • Under “Launch Options”, add:
    -force-d3d11

The game feels blurry or visually unclear

Some players have reported issues with visual clarity related to post-processing effects.

You can try:

  • Disabling anti-aliasing.

  • Lowering effects quality.

  • Reducing or disabling screen shake where available.

  • Adjusting FOV settings to a comfortable range.

We are actively working on improving visual clarity and default settings in future updates.

The game feels too difficult or hard to read in combat

UNYIELDER is designed to be challenging, but we understand that some encounters can feel overwhelming or unclear.

If you are struggling:

  • Spend time in earlier runs to learn boss patterns before pushing deeper.

  • Experiment with different weapons and perks, as some builds are more forgiving than others.

  • Reduce visual effects where possible to improve readability.

We are reviewing feedback related to balance, readability, and onboarding.

Controller input does not work properly

Controller support is not fully implemented at this time. UNYIELDER is currently designed to be played with mouse and keyboard.

We recommend using mouse and keyboard for the best experience.

The game crashes or freezes

If you encounter crashes:

  • Make sure your GPU drivers are up to date.

  • Verify the game files through Steam.

  • Avoid alt-tabbing during loading screens if possible.

We have already released stability patches and are continuing to address crash-related issues.

The game does not match what I expected from the trailer or store page

We understand that expectations can vary, especially regarding difficulty, pacing, and structure.

UNYIELDER is a boss rush-focused experience built around repeated attempts and mastery. We are reviewing store messaging and onboarding to better communicate the intended experience.

We will continue updating this section as issues are resolved and new information becomes available.
Thank you for your patience and for helping us improve UNYIELDER.
